Master Plan Re-Examination Workshop
The City is hosting a Master Plan Re-Examination Workshop on Saturday, October 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Community Lodge, located at 300 John F. Kennedy Blvd.
A Master Plan Re-Examination Survey was conducted over the last couple of months that allowed the public to share their concerns and suggestions. To gather additional input from the community, the City has scheduled the workshop which is open to the public and we hope there will be many residents, property owners and merchants in attendance.
For additional information, phone Katherine Custer, Community Services Director, at (609) 263-8687, ext. 103.
Beach Fill Update
Monday, October 12, 2015 (updated 2:45 p.m.)
Beach Fill / Dredging operations have resumed. The following Beach Entrances are currently closed: 64th Street (for beach path re-construction), and 83rd, 84th, 85th and 86th Streets (for dredging).
Beach fill has been completed north of 82nd/83rd Street.
It should be noted that crossovers/entrances are being reconstructed during the week, and some crossovers/entrances behind the fill will temporarily be closed – however, no 2 consecutive crossovers/entrances will be closed at once and no crossover work will occur over the weekend (crossovers are to be constructed shortly after completion of the beachfill at that location).
It should always be noted that the beachfill process could evolve as fill advances - some additional beaches/entrances could close/open between reports.
The project is a 24/7 operation, and will continue around the clock until completion.
