*Expand children’s amusement park at 42nd Place Marina site under license agreement with Gillian's Funland - Spring 2010.
*In cooperation with the City's Recreation Commission, hold a public forum to gather input from the community, especially children and their parents, about concerns and suggestions for recreation programs. Follow up on this forum with actions to meet the established needs and desires of the community. Public forum - February 2010. Programming/changes - March 2010 and forward.
*Host a public forum to educate and help inform our citizens are best prepared for flooding situations - March 2010.
*Complete construction of Veteran's Park project at JFK and Landis Avenue - May 2010.
*Resurface promenade from 29th to 40th Street – complete prior to Memorial Day weekend.
*Replenish the south end beaches from 73rd to 94th Street with approximately 700,000 cubic yards of sand - Complete by June 2010.
*Complete construction of Lifeguard Headquarters/Restroom Building at 44th Street - Summer 2010.
*Complete construction of a new Marina Services Building and site improvements, including parking, decorative lighting and landscaping at the 42nd Place Marina Complex – complete summer of 2010.
*In cooperation with the City's Environmental Commission, establish a water conservation education program that addresses the City's water and sewer costs and the challenges consumers face to reduce their use - Spring 2010.
*Continue partnership with State Departments of Transportation and Environmental Protection (DOT and DEP) for project to combine the beneficial use of dredged materials with environmental remediation and passive park development at the north end landfill - permitting in 2010 and construction in 2011/2012.
*National Flood Insurance Program – Community Rating System (CRS) participation with goal of achieving discounted flood insurance policies for homeowners - 2010.
*Obtain CAFRA permit for Excursion Park (beachfront lot along promenade between 40th and JFK) improvements, including bandshell, beach pavilion, and reconstructed street end, and prepare designs for 2011 construction.
*Prepare designs for Welcome Center construction along south side of JFK Boulevard (JFK and Central) - for 2011 construction.
*Sewer replacement and road reconstruction along Central Avenue between 49th and 69th Street - 2010 design; 2011 construction.
*Explore feasibility of constructing a year round, indoor sports and activity facility - Feasibility study - winter 2010.
*County Library on City property at 48th Street - start construction spring 2010; completion in 2011.
