WHAT
 
Paper: newspapers, magazines, junk mail, corrugated cardboard, office
paper, telephone and paperback books.
 
Glass: food and beverage bottles and jars.
 
Plastic Bottles: food and beverage, soap, detergent and health/beauty aid
containers that have the symbols 1 through 8 imprinted on the bottom.
 
Aluminum & Steel (Tin) Cans: food and beverage cans, EMPTY aerosol
cans and DRY paint cans.
 
Grass Clippings
 
Brush: tree branches, tree stumps and Christmas trees.
 
Consumer Electronics: printers, stereos, television sets, computers and
shredders.
 
Additional Items: wood pallets and crates.
 
ITEMS THAT ARE ACCEPTED AT THE RECYCLE DROP OFF AREA (RDOA):
Beach chairs, metal scraps, hard rigid plastic (chairs, toys, etc.).
These items are also accepted curbside on bulk trash days.
 
MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE CMCMUA LA NDFILL:
Antifreeze, motor oil, used oil filters, kerosene, contaminated soil and
propane tanks ($7 per tank).
 
HOW
 
Trash: please place all items curbside prior to 6am of your pick up day. All
trash must be placed in a rigid reusable container (NO PLASTIC BAGS ) with
a detached lid not to exceed 50 lbs. or a 35 gallon sized can.
 
Paper: place in paper grocery bag, corrugated boxes or reusable
containers.
 
Bottles and Cans: place rinsed recyclables together in one reusable
container marked “RECYCLABLES.” Do not place recyclables in plastic bags.
 
DO NOT RECYCLE
 
Paper: paper plates and cups, paper towels and napkins, laminated paper
or plastic coated paper and cardboard.
 
Glass: light bulbs, mirrors, drinking glasses, crystal, windows, ceramics, clay
and Pyrex. Fluorescent tubes and CFL’s can be taken to Home Depot free of
charge.
 
Aluminum & Steel: foil and pie plates, pots and pans and clothes hangers.
 
Plastic: motor oil, charcoal fluid and antifreeze bottles, plastic ware and
utensils, straws, diapers, syringes, plastic bags and six-pack rings.

7:15am-2:45pm
Holidays: Closed
(except New Year’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day)
